Juatico McCroiglit, the caao of the Queen vs, Clinrley Suet, for murder, in Au<,'uat, 1883, near SpoiiCB'a Bridge, occupied the attention of the 30urt. The oaae occupied the wholu day, and the jury retired at midnight. At 2 o'clock thoy found a verdict of guilty, with a recommendation to mercy. He waa sentenced to death. Mr. Eberts and Mr. Bole prosecuted; Mr. Atkinaoii for the defence.
